ONLINE VIDEO CONTEST IS THE FIRST EVENT IN WBB’S DESTINATION:
BACON DOMINATION, THE ROAD TO THE 2013 WORLD FOOD CHAMPIONSHIPS
(Vernon, Texas) – The maker of Wright® Brand Bacon – the Bigger, Better Bacon – is kicking off the first stage of DESTINATION: BACON DOMINATION, this year’s nationwide competition series leading to the 2013 World Food Championships in Las Vegas this November. This first challenge, the only non-cooking event strictly for bacon spectators, is an online video contest offering the winners an all-expenses paid trip for two to the World Championships, or a year’s supply of Wright® Brand Bacon*.
For the contest, bacon connoisseurs around the globe are invited to create their own “sizzle reel” – a personal video love letter to all things bacon. Entrants are encouraged to let their creative juices flow, demonstrating their own unique take on just how much they love Wright® Brand Bacon. The BIGGER the vision, the BETTER!
Competitors enter the contest by (1) Submitting their videos and (2) Collecting votes and sharing. The top 5 entrants selected will automatically win free bacon for a year* and qualify as finalists. From those, one lucky winner** will be chosen to win the grand prize trip to the Bacon World Championships, part of the 2013 World Food Championships in Las Vegas, Nov. 5-7, 2013.
Wright® Brand Bacon was selected by the prestigious World Food Championships as title sponsor for its newly created Bacon World Championship this year. The WFC annually brings together champions from the world’s biggest and best food competitions and online recipe contests into a single food competition. The DESTINATION: BACON DOMINATION challenge series calls for the best and most innovative bacon chefs to compete for a chance to battle for the title of 2013 World Food Champion.
The schedule of events includes festival cook-offs in six cities around the country, each earning the winner a competitor’s slot in the Bacon World Championship. A seventh chef will be selected through a global online bacon recipe competition, to be announced later this month. Each stop also will include live music, games, prizes and tastings galore for Wright® Brand Bacon’s dedicated brigade of bacon enthusiasts.

**GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One grand prize winner will be selected on or about September 15, 2013, from among five finalists by a panel of judges from Sponsor‘s marketing and customer service departments. The winning video will be judged and selected based on the following judgment criteria: demonstration of personality and personal style (25%); representation of the Wright® Brand Bacon brand and product (25%); originality of presentation (20%); language and voice (20%); and suitability for future production/presentation (10%). In case of a tie in the scoring, the entry with the higher score in the demonstration of personality and personal style category will be deemed the winner. In case of further tie, winner will be selected by Contest Administrator representative. The decisions of the judges will be final. Sponsor is unable to estimate the number of Entrants for this Contest. Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email.
